WhatsApp Default Response Configuration

We generally ask you to set up this configuration, because when user starts a conversation, a response has to be terminated and hence you need to set this configuration.
This is a mandatory settings. Set default automatic response for default parameters.
You can set default responses for each WABA number.

NOTE: Your messages won't get delivered if this configuration has not been set.

Adding your configuration

To set the above configuration, go to Add Default Response.

WABA Number:Select your preferred WABA number.

If user sends you any kind of message, our system will search the keyword list in your Conversation Response keywords, if it’s not found then the default response will be sent to the recipient.

Default Message Type: Select what kind of reply to be sent. As soon as you select your preferred message type, then fields will appear based on your message type selection. Fill the required fields.

Default Message Webhook: (Optional) You can set a webhook to receive responses on your API endpoint.

You need to provide user with opt-in options, so that they can opt-in and choose to receive your messages.

Opt-in Keywords: You can add multiple keywords so that when user sends the message, they will be added to the Opt-in database. Example: Start/Opt-in/In

Opt-in Message Type: Select what kind of reply to be sent. As soon as you select your preferred message type, then fields will appear based on your message type selection. Fill the required fields.

Opt-in Message Webhook: (Optional) You can set a webhook to receive responses on your API endpoint.


You need to provide user with opt-out options, if user does not wish to receive any messages from your end.

Opt-out Keywords: You can add multiple keywords so that when user sends the message, they will be added to the Opt-out database. Example: Stop/Opt-out/Out

Opt-outage Message Type: Select what kind of reply to be sent. As soon as you select your preferred message type, then fields will appear based on your message type selection. Fill the required fields.

Opt-out Message Webhook: (Optional) You can set a webhook to receive responses on your API endpoint.

Types of Default Response Configuration

NOTE: Providing opt-in and opt-out options is recommended, because instead of user blocking your WABA number, simply they can opt-in and opt-out at their convenience. So your WABA’s health rating with WhatsApp stays healthy.
