Businesses must follow the below requirements when obtaining opt-in:

Opt-In Methods

As long as the opt-in method meets the above requirements, it will be policy compliant. The following are examples of supported opt-in methods:

  • SMS
  • Website
  • In a WhatsApp thread
  • By phone (using an interactive voice response (IVR) flow)
  • In person or on paper (customers can sign a physical document to opt in)

We strongly recommend that businesses continue to optimize for the user experience when designing opt-in flows.

Managing Opt-in on our portal


To add all your opt-ins on our portal, go to Add Opt-in page.

Select your preferred WABA number from the dropdown.

You can add single or multiple opted customers mobile numbers in Mobile Number text field. Insert with new line or comma separated.

Note: Please ensute to Add numbers with country prefix code.

Click on save changes.


On Manage page, you can find all your opt-on clients list.

  • View the status (opt-in or opted out) of opt-in list.
  • View mobile number of the opt-in client.
  • Search for mobile numbers: Use the search field.
  • You can delete any opt-in number.
  • You can also mark as Opted out manually by clicking on Thumbs Down button.
